About The Position

River Park Hospital, a 165-bed behavioral health facility in Huntington, West Virginia, is seeking a PRN Dietary Aide to provide dietary support to an adolescent residential facility. The role includes preparing meals and food for special functions, portioning meals for patients, helping prepare food according to menu requirements, and unloading dietary supplies. The Dietary Aide also helps maintain kitchen areas in compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory guidelines, including monitoring food temperatures during cooking, serving, and storage.

Requirements

• Current food handler card.
• At least one year of food service experience.
• Ability to work all staff positions in the department accurately.
• Knowledge of industrial kitchen equipment, operations, and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions and standardized recipes.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of modified diets.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and setup for special functions.
• Assist with meal preparation and portion items for patients.
• Maintain required food temperatures during cooking, serving, and storage of leftovers.
• Follow established sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Follow facility, department, corporate, personnel, and standard policies and procedures.
• Prepare meals and help ensure kitchen areas meet regulatory guidelines at an adolescent residential facility.
• Assist with food preparation according to menu requirements.
• Unload dietary supplies.
