About The Position

The Dietary Aide performs routine food preparation and delivery services for cold and hot foods in the facility. The role includes preparing, serving, and storing food in accordance with facility policies and approved menus, maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas, and supporting compliance with applicable regulations and dietary requirements. The Dietary Aide reports patient dietary non-compliance, concerns, or complaints to the dietician, supervisor, or manager.

Requirements

• ServSafe certification or similar food-safety certification where required by the state and facility.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup and sanitation tasks in kitchen, dining, or serving areas.
• Prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menus.
• Use service methods and food-handling techniques that ensure food quality.
• Understand and apply sanitation procedures to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Follow menu and special-diet requirements, and report patient dietary non-compliance, concerns, or complaints to the dietician, supervisor, or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
