About The Position

Vancrest seeks a Dietary Aide to help provide residents with a high-quality dining experience and nutritionally appropriate diets. The role supports meal preparation and service, handles diet-related changes and documentation, coordinates with facility departments and dietary professionals, and maintains food-service equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

Review menus prior to food preparation.
Inspect special diet trays to ensure they are correct.
Complete necessary forms and reports and submit them to the Director of Food Services.
Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary.
Work with the facility's Dietician, Dietetic Technician, and other Supervisors, and implement recommended changes as required.
Ensure dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
Assist in establishing the food service production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
Process diet changes and new diets received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
Ensure utensils and other items are readily available for the next meal.
Assist with inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies as necessary.
