About The Position

The Dietary Aide serves meals to patients in a timely, courteous, and professional manner, ensuring that meals are accurate and meet individual dietary needs. The role involves setting up and cleaning trays in patient rooms or dining areas, communicating meal preferences and concerns to kitchen staff, and maintaining sanitation and cleanliness in food service areas. The position offers patient interaction in a healthcare setting and supports patient comfort and healing through food service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Speak and read English.
• Be able to lift 40 pounds or more.
• Demonstrate a warm, patient-centered attitude and strong communication skills.
• Be dependable and attentive to detail.
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Be comfortable working in a hospital or healthcare facility setting.

Nice To Haves

• Food Handling certification is preferred but not required.
• Some experience is helpful.
• Basic knowledge of food service, or willingness to learn.
