About The Position

The Dietary Aide performs routine food preparation and delivery services for hot and cold foods in the facility. The role supports safe food service by following facility policies, standardized recipes, approved menus, food-handling practices, and applicable state or federal regulations. The Dietary Aide also helps maintain clean kitchen, dining, and serving areas and reports dietary concerns or non-compliance to the appropriate staff.

Requirements

• ServSafe Certification or a similar food-safety certification, where required by the state and facility.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup and sanitation tasks in kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
• Prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menus.
• Use service methods and food-handling techniques that maintain food quality.
• Apply sanitation procedures to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Follow menu and special-diet requirements and report dietary non-compliance, concerns, or patient complaints to a dietician, supervisor, or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
