Maintenance Technician - $1,500 Sign On Bonus
About The Position
Bozzuto is hiring a Maintenance Technician to maintain its residences and provide excellent service to residents. The role involves resolving service tickets and performing preventive maintenance, handling repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances, preparing vacant apartments for move-in, and maintaining building appearance, cleanliness, safety, and grounds. The position includes working weekends or evenings and participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. After completing 12 months of employment, the technician will be eligible to earn an EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification paid for by Bozzuto. The position is eligible for additional bonus opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience in building maintenance or education in the trades.
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
- Availability for property emergencies, including participation in an on-call rotation.
- Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
- Personal, reliable transportation to commute to work and respond to on-call emergencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sharp professional appearance.
- Basic computer skills and comfort using software, apps, and computer programs.
- A service mentality and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Resolve resident service tickets and perform preventive maintenance.
- Repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
- Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through turnover repairs and improvements.
- Maintain building appearance, cleanliness, and community safety through general upkeep, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
- Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
- Work weekends or evenings and be on call for after-hours emergencies.
