About The Position

The Dietary Aide/Dishwasher assists with the daily functions of the Dietary Department and helps maintain a clean, safe work environment for resident meals in accordance with facility, OBRA, federal, state, and other regulatory expectations. The role supports residents’ quality of life by preparing and portioning food, setting up and delivering meal trays, and maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas. The Dietary Aide/Dishwasher also helps with deliveries and performs other assigned duties. Experience is helpful but not required; training is available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food items to support residents’ quality of life.
• Set up meal trays and deliver meals.
• Assist with putting away stock on delivery days.
• Wash and store pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.
• Sweep and mop floors and perform other assigned cleaning.
• Maintain clean and sanitary dietary work areas and a safe environment for resident meals.
• Follow food safety, infection control, and safe dietary procedures.
• Protect resident rights and privacy by maintaining confidentiality of residents and their care.
• Support the dietary team and perform other duties as assigned.
