About The Position
Paradise Valley Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Diet Clerk. Under the direction of the dietitian, the Diet Clerk performs clinical support functions related to approving therapeutic menu selections and ensuring the accuracy and appropriate temperatures of patient trays. Paradise Valley Hospital is a 291-bed acute care hospital serving the San Diego community. It provides a range of services, including acute rehabilitation, cardiac catheterization, inpatient and outpatient surgery, emergency care, and behavioral health services. The position is per diem with a variable shift. The estimated compensation range is $23.00 to $26.17; the actual starting compensation will depend on factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
Requirements
- County-specific Food Handlers certification is required upon hire and must be maintained current.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Food Science or Nutrition preferred.
- One year of healthcare experience working with modified diets preferred.
