About The Position

Assists in preparing and serving food for patients or patrons, performs cleaning and sanitation functions, and carries out other tasks in support of the department. The position also assists with dietary department functions as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Proficiency in English.
• Work may require a fair amount of dexterity and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving food to patrons using proper portion sizes and methods of service.
• Operate the cash register in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Assist with stocking and cleaning throughout the shift.
• Follow sanitary regulations when handling food and equipment and maintaining the work area.
• Follow hospital and department policies and procedures regarding attendance, uniform, personal hygiene, and job duties.
• Assist with other dietary department functions.
