About The Position

The Diet Aide assists with preparing and serving food to patients or patrons, performs cleaning and sanitation functions, and supports other dietary department tasks as needed. The role includes following hospital and department policies and procedures related to attendance, uniform, personal hygiene, and job duties.

Requirements

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Proficiency in English.
• Work may require a fair amount of dexterity and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving food to patrons using proper portion sizes and service methods.
• Operate the cash register in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Assist with stocking and cleaning throughout the shift.
• Follow sanitary regulations when handling food and equipment and maintaining the work area.
• Follow hospital and department policies and procedures regarding attendance, uniform, personal hygiene, and job duties.
• Assist with other dietary department functions.
