About The Position
Hillcrest Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is hiring Diet Aides to support dietary services in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. The role works with the facility dietitian and kitchen staff to prepare, serve, and deliver meals and snacks, maintain clean food-service areas, and follow established dietary procedures. Per diem, part-time, and full-time positions are available. Pay is $16.00–$18.78 per hour, based on years of experience, with weekend and evening differentials.
Responsibilities
- Work with the facility dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes.
- Assist with serving meals in a timely manner.
- Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties according to established policies and procedures.
- Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining rooms as instructed.
- Assist the cook with meal preparation.
- Check diet trays before distribution.
- Deliver food carts, trays, and related items to designated areas.
- Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
- Ensure utensils and other items are available for the next meal.
- Remove food trays from carts and dining rooms and take them to the dishwashing area.
- Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
- Follow established dietary procedures.
- Ensure food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.
- Assist with food preparation for special meals and parties.
