About The Position

Minden Medical Center is seeking a well-organized, energetic Diet Aide / Cook/ Baker/ Float to support our Food & Nutrition Services team and help ensure patients and staff receive safe, high-quality meal service. This role exists to provide reliable coverage across the department and to keep storage areas inspection-ready.

Requirements

One year of dietary experience in a health care setting

Responsibilities

Filling open schedule needs due to illness or vacation
Completing the assigned station’s duties
Organizing and maintaining the walk-in cooler/freezer and dry storage with clear date-marking, FIFO rotation, and EOC compliance
Maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas
Completing the daily deep-cleaning task sheet
Working cooperatively with the FSS/FSD, peers, patients, and hospital staff
Following uniform, PPE, ID badge, and timekeeping expectations
Checking the schedule and connecting with the team to confirm where you’re needed most
Moving confidently between stations, keeping communication clear and courteous as priorities shift
Resetting and straightening storage spaces so products are easy to find and ready for the next service
Following department standards
Documenting tasks as required
Confirming the area is ready for the next team member—leaving things clean, orderly, and prepared for the next day
