Cox Fleet is offering an opportunity to join their FleeTec Academy, a paid educational program that leads to becoming a full-time Diesel and Trailer Technician. This program provides free education on Diesel and Trailer Repair, a set of hand tools with a toolbox, and a paycheck. The program involves five weeks of full-time schooling at the Academy Campus, with travel expenses, hotel accommodation, and a meal stipend paid by the company. Upon completion, participants will be paired with a Lead Technician for hands-on training and offered a full-time job as a Mobile Mechanic. Further classroom study will be provided periodically. Mobile Technicians use a state-of-the-art vehicle to perform repairs at customer locations, focusing on preventative maintenance and general repairs to ensure fleet efficiency.

Requirements

  • Desire to start a career as a Diesel and Trailer Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic.
  • Willingness and ability to study hard.
  • Dedication to be away from home for 5 weeks for training.
  • Maturity to focus on the task at hand.
  • Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing vehicles.
  • Ability to operate an iPad.
  • Must be 21 years old to drive a company truck.
  • Ability to pass background checks, driving record checks, pre-employment drug testing, and physical examination.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Attend five weeks of full-time schooling at the FleeTec Academy Campus.
