About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced diesel tractor/trailer mechanic to maintain and repair diesel-powered tractors and trailers, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. The role includes routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, replacing worn or damaged components, and maintaining accurate records of work performed. A drug screen is required upon job offer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Diesel mechanic degree or at least 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, including specific experience working on tractors and trailers.
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Class A CDL or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Drug screen required upon job offer.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on diesel tractors and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and vehicle inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on diesel tractors and trailers.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other components.
• Replace worn or damaged parts, such as brakes, tires, and suspension components.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on diesel tractors and trailers.
