About The Position

DHT is hiring mid-level and skilled Diesel Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shifts at its maintenance facility in Reese, Michigan. The role is for dependable, experienced technicians who can diagnose and repair Class 8 trucks and trailers, perform quality maintenance, and help keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. Opportunities are available for technicians developing diagnostic skills and experienced technicians prepared to handle complex repairs. The position is full-time and year-round, with competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Previous hands-on diesel repair experience.
Experience maintaining and repairing Class 8 trucks and/or trailers.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
Electrical and electronic diagnostic experience appropriate to skill level.
Ability to work independently and make sound repair decisions within one's experience level.
Dependable attendance and strong work habits.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with diagnostic software such as DiagnosticLink, Cummins INSITE, Bendix, or WABCO.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Class 8 trucks and trailers.
Perform engine, drivetrain, and transmission repairs.
Diagnose electrical and electronic system problems.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air and brake systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and DOT-related inspections.
Use diagnostic software and equipment to identify faults and determine necessary repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures.
Perform truck and trailer maintenance and repairs.
Respond to road service and emergency repair needs as assigned.
Complete repairs safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
