Diesel Technician 2nd shift
About The Position
Packer City International is seeking technicians to join its team in a clean, safe, temperature-controlled shop. The role includes a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000, based on experience. The company describes an emphasis on teamwork, trust, communication, employee ownership, and delivering award-winning service to customers in Northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Technicians perform repair-order work, test-drive trucks, use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to test vehicle systems, and diagnose, maintain, and repair systems such as engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, and brakes. They communicate with Service Advisors or Service Managers about additional service needs and complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.

- Have a CDL or obtain one within six months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of Service Technician experience is preferred but not required.
- Two-year degree or certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive trucks and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, and brakes.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor or Service Manager so customers can be informed about additional service needs.
- Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
