Carvana is hiring a Diesel Technician for its Fleet Maintenance team to help keep its Class 8 fleet safe, reliable, and operational. The fleet is primarily day-cab trucks and trailers, all under manufacturer warranty; the role does not involve major engine overhauls or roadside calls. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay is $25–$37 per hour, with a sign-on bonus advertised at $2,000–$4,000. The technician performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and component replacements; diagnoses electrical, engine, and transmission problems using diagnostic tools and software; and repairs aftertreatment systems, including performing regens and changing filters. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, collaborating with the team to optimize vehicle performance and minimize downtime, and following safety practices to keep the fleet DOT compliant. Applicants should have at least three years of experience with heavy-duty Class 8 trucks and trailers or similar equipment. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, as are the ability to perform physical vehicle-maintenance tasks, attention to detail, quality workmanship, punctuality, and a solid attendance record. Employees must obtain at least two ASE certifications within their first six months; Carvana will reimburse the certification costs. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check and drug test. Applicants must be at least 18, be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and note that the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
