About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Diesel Technician/Mechanic in Louisville, Kentucky. The technician performs maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and inspections on medium- to heavy-duty fleet vehicles. The role calls for expertise in AC and electrical diagnostics, including work involving Paccar, Cummins, Peterbilt, Ford, CAT F650, and Ford E350 vehicles. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with weekly pay of $30.00 to $48.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits begin within 30 days. Work may take place in a mobile or shop environment and may involve exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, oils, and greases.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience performing expert repairs and AC and electrical diagnostics, including work on Paccar, Cummins, Peterbilt, Ford, CAT F650, and Ford E350 vehicles.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical if required for the role.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium- to heavy-duty fleet vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
