About The Position

Diesel Technician Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment, maintain clean places, and interact with customers and drivers. Professional experience is not required; Love’s provides training through its apprentice program. Apprentices learn diagnostics and repairs across electrical, climate-control, wheel-end, air, braking, and charging systems, along with basic computer diagnostics, auxiliary component replacement, and parts lookup and acquisition.

Requirements

• Be mechanically inclined; professional experience is not required.
• Ability to move and lift more than 75 pounds while working in close quarters.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation medical card; the cost is paid by Love’s.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Learn preventative maintenance services.
• Put customer safety and satisfaction first and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
