About The Position

Diesel Technician Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clean places and providing friendly service to customers and drivers. Professional experience is not required; Love’s provides training through its apprentice program. Apprentices learn diesel repair and maintenance skills, including diagnostics, repairs, parts lookup, and acquisition. The role includes assisting customers with roadside services and learning preventative maintenance. Apprentices work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed and must be able to obtain a Department of Transportation medical card, paid for by Love’s.

Requirements

• Ability to move and lift 75 or more pounds while working in close quarters.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation; the cost is paid by Love’s.

• Mechanical inclination; professional experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services.

• Learn basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement.
• Learn parts lookup and acquisition.
• Prioritize customer safety and satisfaction while complying with company safety policies and procedures.
