Diesel Technician Apprentice
About The Position
Love’s is hiring Diesel Technician Apprentices to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain a clean workplace, and assist customers and drivers. Professional experience is not required; Love’s provides training through its apprentice program. Apprentices learn diagnostics and repairs for electrical, air conditioning and heating, wheel-end assemblies, air systems, air brakes, and charging systems, along with basic computer diagnostics, auxiliary component replacement, and parts lookup and acquisition. The role includes roadside customer assistance and learning preventative maintenance services. The schedule rotates between day and night as needed. A medical card through the Department of Transportation is required and paid for by Love’s.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined; professional experience is not required.
- Ability to move and lift 75 or more pounds while working in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation medical card; the cost is paid by Love’s.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with roadside services.

- Prioritize customer safety and satisfaction while following company safety policies and procedures.
