Diesel Technician Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and help maintain clean places with friendly faces. They interact with customers and drivers and learn diesel service skills through an apprentice program. Love’s provides training for people who are mechanically inclined but have no professional experience. The program covers diagnostics and repairs for electrical systems, air conditioning and heating, wheel ends, air systems, air brakes, and charging systems, as well as basic computer diagnostics, auxiliary component replacement, and parts lookup and acquisition. Apprentices also assist with roadside services and learn preventative maintenance. The role includes a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed. A Department of Transportation medical card is required and paid for by Love’s.
