About The Position

Provide leadership to a team of maintenance associates as a Diesel Shop Team Leader in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The role is accountable for equipment availability and repair decisions made by the team and communicates with other business leaders to understand business needs and prioritize work.

The team leader works with the Diesel Shop Manager and manages the shop in the manager’s absence. The position also supports associate performance and training, work assignments, and shop parts processes.

Requirements

• Technical degree in diesel technology or a related field.
• At least 4 years of diesel technician experience.
• Able to work a minimum of one weekend day per month.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to create a high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with the Diesel Shop Manager and manage the shop in the manager’s absence.
• Perform work order audits and associate performance audits.
• Assign work to associates and ensure associates complete training.
• Maintain appropriate parts inventory, ensure cycle-count accuracy, and reinforce parts processes among associates.
• Address performance-related issues.
• Be accountable for equipment availability and the team’s repair decisions.
• Communicate with other business leaders to understand business needs and prioritize work.
