About The Position

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Diesel Service Technician to perform the work of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair mechanic under minimal supervision. This safety-sensitive position involves diagnosing, repairing, and testing heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, documenting repairs, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Possess or be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
Motor Vehicle Record must adhere to TLG MVR Guidelines.

Nice To Haves

A college degree or a trade school certificate or degree is preferred, but not required.
Experience in a related field is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, and test completed repairs to ensure they are performed properly.
Train new technicians.
Follow safety rules and company policies.
Communicate with the Service Foreman about parts that are unavailable for repairs.
Download and save to Paccar Solutions/Decisiv all pictures, engine files from before and after repairs, and diagnostic tests used to perform repairs.
Document troubleshooting steps, results of repairs, and other repair-related information in detail.
Save all warrantable parts; tag, wash, box, and turn them in to the correct location, labeling the box with the repair order number, serial number, customer name, and date.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, and clean and return tools used.
Advise technicians on the following shift of special instructions or concerns found while repairing a truck.
Maintain efficiency and productivity goals set by the Service Manager.
Maintain a Peterbilt online training percentage of 95%.
Obtain and retain a Class A or B CDL during employment.
Perform other assigned duties and repairs.
