About The Position

A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join its Fleet Maintenance team at the Johnston, Rhode Island shop. The role maintains, diagnoses, and repairs the company’s fleet of heavy-duty trucks, including Class 8 trucks. The position starts at 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Pay is $30–$45 per hour, based on experience and skillset, with overtime after 40 hours and weekly pay by direct deposit. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience repairing or maintaining Class 8 trucks.
A complete set of hand tools for heavy truck repair.
Vocational or technical training in diesel or heavy-duty vehicles.
Willingness to learn and grow abilities.
Ability to work independently with a “can-do” attitude.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance and general repairs on Class 8 trucks.
Troubleshoot and repair brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, and related components.
Diagnose and perform necessary repairs to engines, electrical systems, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
Inspect and replace general components as required.
