About The Position

Power Plus is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for its United States Generator Rental team. The role is primarily responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining portable generators. Duties may also include field service repairs, refueling, delivering and picking up portable generators, providing technical support, and traveling as needed. The Diesel Mechanic troubleshoots and repairs the generator fleet, coordinates repair priorities with the operations manager and generator fleet manager, and orders repair parts. The position may require assisting field operations, operating a forklift, and driving a company vehicle. An on-call rotation applies once the employee is approved to work in the field.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of diesel engines.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
Mechanical background.
Ability to use a computer and related software to troubleshoot engine and generator controls.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to operate a forklift and drive a company vehicle.

Nice To Haves

Generator experience.
Working knowledge of Isuzu, Cat, Cummins, Doosan, MQ, MMD, Volvo, and John Deere engines and generators.
