About The Position

Ecowaste Solutions is hiring a Diesel Truck/Trailer Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing fleet equipment; completing detailed work orders with proper coding and warranty documentation; and maintaining safe, accurate, and orderly work practices. The position may also include additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Advanced diagnostics experience.
Hands-on experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair is strongly preferred.
A valid state-issued CDL driver's license is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with a specialty in Diesel.
Hands-on experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair.
Valid state-issued CDL driver's license.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds of fleet equipment components.
Inform management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices, and suggest corrective actions.
Identify and report broken tools and missing supplies needed for repairs, and take steps to resolve issues when possible.
Complete complex work orders with detailed descriptions of condition, cause, and correction, and complete warranty return tags as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
