About The Position
GPM is now hiring a diesel mechanic to repair and maintain our private fleet, which include tractors & tankers. Starting pay $35-38 based on experience.
Requirements
- Some knowledge of DOT safety regulations
- Must have own tools
- Must be willing to be a part of an "ON-CALL" rotation
Nice To Haves
- Tanker experience helpful but not a must
- Knowledge of computer diagnostics prefrerred
- Tanker experience with Macks & Freightliners preferred
- Welding experience is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Repair and replace defective parts, components or system
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Test and repair equipment for proper performance and ensure the work meets manufacturer regulations
- Repair emergency breakdowns
