About The Position

Decker Truck Line is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician at its new location. The role maintains and repairs a private fleet of well-equipped, late-model trucks and trailers using advanced technology. Technicians process work orders and complete required documentation accurately. The schedule is a choice of Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., or Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; on-call work is required as needed. Growth into a lead technician or shop leadership role may be available for the right person. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of automotive or diesel mechanic experience.
• Computer-based diagnostic skills using OEM interfaces.
• Own tools; a tool lease-to-own program is available if needed.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer knowledge for email, work orders, and related tasks.
• Knowledge of and adherence to DOT/OSHA policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Paccar experience preferred.
• Steel and aluminum welding experience.
• Reefer experience.
• CDL; not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and repair for trucks and trailers in the company’s private fleet.
• Process work orders.
• Accurately complete necessary documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
