About The Position

Mission Linen Supply has an immediate opening for a Diesel/Fleet Mechanic at its facility. The mechanic performs preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brakes. The role pays $22.00–$30.00 per hour; starting pay depends on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment. Clean DMV record.

Nice To Haves

Diesel and Ford product experience; helpful but not required.
Prior auto shop experience or trade school; preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair systems and mechanisms on commercial vehicles.
Ensure vehicles meet operational and safety standards.
Perform routine maintenance, including changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Operate tools and mechanisms associated with automotive repair.
Evaluate and recommend alternative methods for vehicle preventive maintenance to promote effective and efficient return on investment.
Follow an effective preventive maintenance program for company vehicles.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brakes.
