About The Position

The Die Maintenance Utility Worker supports the Die Maintenance and Stamping departments by transporting production dies to meet production and maintenance needs. The role operates required equipment after proper certification, performs daily crane and die cart inspections, and follows safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. The worker communicates abnormal situations to a Team Leader or Group Leader and follows “Stop, Call, and Wait” procedures. The position requires flexibility to rotate shifts and work in all areas of the department as needed to accomplish YKTA’s goals and objectives.

Work is conducted in an industrial office and plant setting, with frequent movement throughout the plant and exposure to high noise levels and equipment commonly used in stamping, welding, and Ecoat environments. Requirements

• Previous crane operating experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to traverse die fields safely.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 33 pounds.
• Ability to grasp, reach, and pull repetitively.
• Ability to look upward toward the ceiling for extended periods.
• Ability to traverse the plant facility.

Responsibilities

• Support Die Maintenance and Stamping departments by transporting production dies to and from locations.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and wear required PPE.
• Operate required equipment in accordance with safety guidelines after proper certification.
• Complete daily crane inspections.
• Complete daily die cart inspections.
• Report abnormal situations to a Team Leader or Group Leader and follow “Stop, Call, and Wait” procedures.
• Rotate shifts as required.
• Work in all areas of the department and perform duties as needed to accomplish YKTA goals and objectives.
