About The Position

This is an Operations position responsible for checking oil, fluids, and tire pressure, and fueling equipment. The role supports fleet readiness and yard operations by preparing delivery equipment for use, assisting the fleet shop, washing trailers according to the FSQA schedule, and keeping the parking lot clean and free of debris. The employee also supports night truck spotters in organizing the truck yard.

Requirements

High school diploma, General Education Development (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
1–3 months of related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to learn to drive and back up tractor-trailers and straight trucks.
Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
Assist the fleet shop when needed.
Work with the fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
Wash trailers according to the FSQA schedule.
Keep the parking lot clean and free of debris.
Support night truck spotters in organizing the truck yard.
