Requirements

• Current certification and licensures appropriate to state regulations.
• CPR certification required.
• 1 year dialysis technician experience required.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors performance of safe and effective dialysis following all applicable guidelines.
• Verifies that dialysis procedure consents and dialysis orders are written prior to the initiation of dialysis and are administered correctly.
• Assists patients on dialysis and communicates patients’ status to dialysis nurse.
• Communicates abnormal findings and/or changes in patient condition to physician and/or primary care nurse or nursing management.
• Documents care and changes in patient condition, taking appropriate actions when needed.
