About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to join their team at the Rivers Edge Dialysis Center in Athens, OH. This role involves providing direct, one-on-one patient care, performing essential technician duties such as preparing the water room and bicarb, and monitoring patients throughout their dialysis treatment. PCTs are responsible for caring for up to 4-5 patients at a time and educating them on kidney dialysis-related topics. DaVita offers a comprehensive, paid training program that includes both classroom and hands-on instruction, along with reimbursement for the Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be comfortable working around blood and needles.
  • Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb.
  • Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve patients at the Rivers Edge Dialysis Center in Athens, OH.
  • Provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment through direct one-on-one patient care.
  • Care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
  • Prepare the water room and bicarb for patients (opening PCT duty).
  • Test the water for chlorine and ensure tools are calibrated.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
