About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Dialysis Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease at their Rockside Dialysis outpatient clinic in Independence, Ohio. As a PCT, the role involves providing direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, assisting patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. The operational hours for the clinic are MWF 4:30am - 7:30pm and TTHS 6:00am - 2:00pm. PCTs are expected to work 3-4 days/week with a minimum of two Saturdays/month, with shifts potentially starting as early as 4:00 am. The clinic utilizes Fresenius Blue Stat 2018 T machines and has 16 chairs. During M/W/F shifts, the team consists of 1 RN and 4 Dialysis Techs, while T/Th/S shifts have 1 RN and 2 Dialysis Techs. While hours may vary during the training period, teammates typically work between 32-40 hours per week during training. A flexible schedule is required, including availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. DaVita offers a robust, paid training program for new dialysis teammates, combining classroom and hands-on instruction, and provides reimbursement for the Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
  • Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
  • Willing to float between local clinics if needed
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
  • Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
  • Record vital signs and patient data
  • Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
  • Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
