Dialysis Registered Nurse - RN Chronic In-center
About The Position
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and assisting and supervising Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) in caring for patients living with kidney disease. You will provide safe, comfortable, high-quality dialysis treatment; complete and document patient assessments; monitor patients during treatment; review medication profiles monthly; and administer medications according to physician orders. You will also participate in patient assessment and care planning activities, help ensure center staffing requirements are met under the direction of the Administrator and in accordance with state staffing-ratio regulations, and follow company policies and applicable laws and regulations. Participation in required staff meetings and continuing education is expected.
Requirements
- Current nursing license in the applicable state.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of current nursing experience preferred.
- Previous dialysis nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients.
- Complete and document physical assessments before and after treatments.
- Monitor patients during treatment.
- Complete monthly reviews of patient medication profiles.
- Administer medications according to physician orders.
- Participate in required patient assessment and care-planning activities as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Help ensure center staffing requirements are met under the direction of the Administrator and according to state staffing-ratio regulations.
- Follow company policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Participate in required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
- Assist and supervise Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
