About The Position

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI), a nonprofit dialysis provider, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to care for patients with end-stage renal disease. The PCT supports clinical staff throughout dialysis treatment and works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide safe care and high-quality outcomes. The role is performed under RN supervision in a comfortable clinical setting.

This is a full-time position with four 10-hour shifts starting at 4:30 a.m. Sundays are off, and there are no overnight shifts. The stated pay range is $17–$22 per hour, depending on healthcare experience; prior experience is not required. DCI provides paid, comprehensive training through a 12-week program that combines classroom group sessions, preceptor support, and one-on-one skills training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to problem solve.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT, and/or phlebotomy skills are desired.
• Dialysis experience is not required; job-shadow opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Set up and break down the dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform the charge nurse of concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationships while observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
