About The Position

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is recruiting a motivated, compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support its nonprofit mission of providing individualized care to patients with chronic kidney disease. The PCT cares for patients with end-stage renal disease and supports clinical staff throughout dialysis treatment, helping deliver prescribed treatments as part of an interdisciplinary team focused on safe care and high-quality outcomes. The role is performed under RN supervision in a comfortable clinical setting with a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio than other providers.

This is a full-time schedule of four 10-hour shifts starting at 4:30 a.m. Sundays are off, and there are no overnight shifts. Pay is $18–$20 per hour, depending on healthcare experience; experience is not required. DCI provides paid training, including a 12-week training program with a preceptor and a three-month comprehensive education program featuring classroom sessions and one-on-one skills training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT, and/or phlebotomy skills are desired.
• Dialysis experience is not required; job-shadow opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and dialysis machine readings during treatment.
• Set up and break down the dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform the charge nurse of concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationships while observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
