About The Position

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease during dialysis treatment. Working under RN supervision and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the PCT supports clinical staff in delivering prescribed treatments and helping ensure safe care and high-quality outcomes. The role is based in a clinical setting and includes paid training.

The position is full-time, with four 10-hour shifts beginning at 4:30 a.m. Sundays off and no overnight shifts. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour, depending on healthcare experience; prior experience is not required. DCI describes itself as a nonprofit dialysis provider with more than 270 locations in 30 states.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Desire to collaborate with care teams.
• Ability to problem solve.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT, and/or phlebotomy skills.
• Dialysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and dialysis machine readings during treatment.
• Work under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down the dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform the charge nurse of concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss needed to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationships and observe patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
