About The Position

This is a full-time Diagnostic Radiology Technologist position with a day shift schedule (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm). The role does not involve holidays, call, or weekends. The technologist must be willing to travel to 4 out of 7 clinic locations. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants. The position involves operating imaging equipment, preparing and positioning patients, collaborating with radiologists and physicians, following radiation safety protocols, documenting patient history and information in the EMR, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures. The role requires staying current with continuing education and monitoring patients during exams for safety.

Requirements

  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible).
  • If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
  • Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.

Nice To Haves

  • CT experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery.
  • Prepares patients by explaining exam and positioning them correctly.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
  • Follows radiation safety protocols.
  • Documents detailed patient history.
  • Stays current with continuing education.
  • Monitors patients during exam for safety.
  • Documents necessary information in EMR.
  • Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.
