About The Position

ECPI University is seeking Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) professionals to join their faculty team at the Newport News, VA campus. As a faculty member, you will provide practical, hands-on instruction in an engaging learning environment, utilizing innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and achieve outcomes. This position is ideal for a DMS professional passionate about teaching, with small class sizes and five-week terms allowing faculty to share their industry experience.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
Current unencumbered ARMDS certification required.
The equivalent of 2 years of documented full-time professional experience as a general sonographer, cardiac sonographer, pediatric cardiac sonographer and/or vascular technologist.
Strong academic and professional record.
Strong active-learning skills for effective instruction.
Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment.
The highest levels of integrity at all times.
Orientation toward results.
Exemplary interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree in field AND appropriate credentials specific to the concentrations offered preferred.
2 years teaching or presentation experience a plus.
