About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat automotive technician or mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions to difficult problems and doing what is right for guests. Technicians diagnose vehicles, while the team performs the work. The role offers opportunities to build experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles and to develop a long-term career. The Olathe shop is a modern facility with manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and factory scan tools, and offers a consistent workload, training, live technical support, and access to a private Technician Assistance Center.

Requirements

Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests.
At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above one's head and in tight repair spaces.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose vehicles using automotive knowledge and skills.
Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Work closely with the service department and communicate guest concerns effectively.
Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
