About The Position

Temco Logistics is seeking a DFS General Manager in San Diego, California, to oversee daily delivery operations across multiple locations. The role leads a team of drivers and technicians, promotes excellent customer service, and improves operational efficiency. It is a hands-on position involving site visits, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and support for delivery teams. The General Manager also works with Home Depot associates and stores to coordinate operations and address customer needs.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, or Transportation Management.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple locations and teams effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and route management software.
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to evaluate deliveries and ensure quality service.
• Manage customer complaints, delivery inquiries, and escalations, working with Home Depot associates to resolve issues the same day.
• Monitor and motivate technicians to meet performance goals; provide feedback and create continuous-improvement action plans.
• Enforce dock safety standards and uniform compliance, and uphold fleet maintenance protocols.
• Schedule and optimize technician routes to support timely deliveries.
• Oversee vehicle inspections and coordinate preventative maintenance.
• Review performance metrics, document service failures, and work with the team to implement improvements.
• Coordinate with Home Depot stores to ensure smooth operations and align on customer needs.
