About The Position

The Dewatering Technician performs maintenance on dewatering pipelines and pumps, welds and fabricates steel pipe, and operates equipment as needed. The role monitors and maintains dewatering pumping and discharge facilities, including wells, pipelines, flow meters, and pressure gauges, and documents dewatering data accurately. The position reports to the Dewatering/Utility Supervisor and may perform other duties as assigned. Working a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of the role.

Requirements

• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Experience operating boom trucks, dozers, forklifts, backhoes, overhead cranes, fusion welders, and trucks.
• Ability to walk on uneven ground in all weather conditions.
• Ability to support the work group in achieving safety, environmental, equipment protection, and production goals, with a proven safety record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and provide feedback.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating and troubleshooting pumps and piping problems.
• Basic mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on dewatering pipelines and pumps.
• Weld steel pipe and fabricate.
• Operate boom trucks, dozers, forklifts, dump trucks, and other equipment as needed.
• Monitor and maintain dewatering pumping and discharge facilities, including wells, pipelines, flow meters, and pressure gauges.
• Accurately document dewatering data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
