About The Position

The DeWALT Service Technician is an onsite member of the Product Services team in San Antonio, Texas. The role performs simple repairs on portable electric and pneumatic tools, light construction equipment, and outdoor products. The technician troubleshoots failures by examining components for wear or defects, sometimes disassembling equipment, and replacing defective or worn parts. The position also supports shop equipment maintenance, safe and orderly work practices, work-order completion, and inventory accuracy. On-the-job training is provided; experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data.
Knowledge of electricity principles and airflow as they apply to power tools.
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Goal-driven approach and ability to meet and maintain daily, weekly, and quarterly productivity goals without sacrificing quality.

Relevant experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Handle simple repairs to portable electric and pneumatic tools, light construction equipment, and outdoor products.
Troubleshoot tool failures by fully or partially disassembling units, examining components for wear or defects, and replacing worn or defective parts.
Assist with maintenance of shop equipment and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation before use and return them in good condition to the appropriate storage area after use.
Complete work orders, recording repair parts and labor, pricing, and pertinent customer information.
Manage inventory by ensuring the accuracy of parts and accessories.
Perform other duties as assigned.
