About The Position

The DeWALT Service Technician is an on-site role on the Product Services team in a production-style environment. On-the-job training is provided, and prior experience is preferred but not required. The technician repairs portable electric and pneumatic tools, construction equipment, and outdoor products; diagnoses failures; inspects and tests equipment for safe operation; and records repair work and parts usage. The position also involves managing parts inventory, meeting productivity goals, and helping maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data.
• Knowledge of electricity principles and airflow as they apply to power-tool power sources.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Goal-driven approach and ability to meet daily, weekly, and quarterly productivity goals without sacrificing quality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Adaptability in using technological systems and familiarity with data-entry and record-keeping systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience repairing tools or equipment; experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair portable electric and pneumatic tools, construction equipment, and outdoor products.
• Troubleshoot tool failures by fully or partially disassembling units, examining components for wear or defects, and replacing worn or defective parts.
• Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Inspect, analyze, and repair tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Perform performance and safety testing on equipment after repairs.
• Complete work orders, including repair parts and labor, pricing, and relevant customer information.
• Manage inventory and ensure the accuracy of parts and accessories.
• Meet daily productivity goals for the number of tools repaired.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
