DeWALT Service Technician 1st shift M-F $20/hr
About The Position
The DeWALT Service Technician is an onsite role on the Product Services team in a production-style environment in Carrollton, Texas. The technician repairs portable electric and pneumatic tools, construction equipment, and outdoor products. Work includes troubleshooting and disassembling equipment to inspect components, replacing worn or defective parts, inspecting and testing repairs for safe operation, completing work orders, maintaining accurate parts inventory, and meeting daily productivity goals while preserving quality. The position is listed for first shift, Monday through Friday, at $20 per hour.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data.
- Knowledge of electricity principles and airflow as they apply to power-tool power sources.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Goal-driven approach and ability to meet daily, weekly, and quarterly productivity goals without sacrificing quality.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Adaptability in using technological systems and familiarity with data-entry and record-keeping systems.
Responsibilities
- Repair portable electric and pneumatic tools, construction equipment, and outdoor products.
- Troubleshoot tool failures by fully or partially disassembling units, examining components for wear or defects, and replacing worn or defective parts.
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Inspect, analyze, and repair tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Perform performance and safety testing on equipment after repairs.
- Complete work orders, recording repair parts, labor, pricing, and relevant customer information.
- Manage inventory and ensure the accuracy of parts and accessories.
- Meet daily productivity goals for the number of tools repaired.
