DeWALT Service Technician 1st shift M-F $20/hr
About The Position
The DeWALT Service Technician is an onsite role on the Product Services team in a production-style environment in Carrollton, Texas. The technician repairs portable electric and pneumatic tools, construction equipment, and outdoor products. This includes troubleshooting failures, inspecting and analyzing equipment, replacing worn or defective parts, and testing repaired equipment for performance and safe operation. The role also involves documenting work orders, managing parts and accessories inventory, meeting daily repair productivity goals, and helping maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data.
- Knowledge of electricity principles and airflow as they relate to power-tool power sources.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Goal-driven approach and ability to meet and maintain productivity goals without sacrificing quality.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Adaptability in using technological systems and familiarity with data-entry and record-keeping systems.
Responsibilities
- Repair portable electric and pneumatic tools, construction equipment, and outdoor products.
- Troubleshoot tool failures, disassemble units as needed to inspect components, and replace worn or defective parts.
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Inspect, analyze, and repair tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Perform performance and safety testing after repairs.
- Complete work orders with repair parts and labor, pricing, and relevant customer information.
- Manage inventory and ensure the accuracy of parts and accessories.
- Meet daily productivity goals for the number of tools repaired.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
