Requirements

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in DevOps platform services with subject matter expertise in principle engineering.
  • Experience in Application Platforms and Runtimes: Spring Boot, NPM, Java/J2EE.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
  • Proficient with JIRA, Bitbucket, Github Enterprise, Jenkins, Teamcity, uDeploy, Tekton, Harness, RLM, Release-on-Demand (ROD).
  • Extensive experience with DevSecOps tools such as Sonarqube, Checkmarx, Snyk and gitleaks.
  • Hands-on working experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with observability and monitoring tools suchs as Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK/Graphana.
  • Good understanding of immutable infrastructure, Policy-as-Code, Agile, and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Canary , Blue-green deployments.
  • Ability to understand, write and troubleshoot springboot APIs, NPM programs , Ansible Playbooks and scripts (shell, JS, python).
  • User of AI tools such as github copilot, Devin.AI and should be able to write prompt to generate code and automate.
  • Bachelor’s/University degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Mainframe Devops tools such as IBM DBB, Wazi Deploy.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and champion the technical strategy for DevOps platforms and services, aligning with global Citi Technology standards and organizational objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of new technologies and design patterns for experience platform services, with strong emphasis on driving the migration of legacy pipeline infrastructure to modern, scalable, and secure platforms.
  • Establish and certify best practices for containerizing existing applications for deploying onto Internal or external cloud platforms.
  • Develop cohesive interpersonal working relationships with peers and team members, Engineering partners and internal customers fostering a collaborative environment for achieving the delivery expectations.
  • Lead efforts in process re-engineering within the DevOps domain to eliminate bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the Team of Junior engineers and team members located in Chennai and Pune.
  • Work as Site-lead for Devops team in India to drive adoption, share knowledge and provide key management updates to local site leadership.
  • Drive Adoption of standard tools and pipelines inline with organizational targets.
  • Lead the support of application production releases, focusing on zero-touch deployments and automated rollbacks.
  • Optimize pipeline services for reliability, responsiveness, runtime footprint, and recoverability using performance engineering and memory profiling tools.
  • Implement quality gates for both secure and standard coding practices, ensuring compliance and best practices before production releases.
  • Actively partner with engineering teams for solution design, validation and implementation, shar the feedback, Issues and best practices with engineering and development teams.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives (e.g., Developer Connect Series, Design Connect, brown bags).
  • Understand the business impact of systems and make judicious technical trade-offs between short-term needs and long-term business objectives, driving mindful discussions with customers and peers.
  • Generate adoption metrics and reports to be shared with partners and leadership teams.
  • Work with CISO , Audit & compliance organizations to participate in internal / external audits and provide support as required.
  • Work with geographically distributed partners, engineering teams and internal customers across US, Europe, Singapore and India time zones.
