About The Position

As a Senior DevOps Engineer within Corporate Bank Technology, you will help build one of Deutsche Bank’s most critical strategic data platforms. You will support real‑time insights and high‑volume data flows across the global Corporate Bank. You will design and operate scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure that connects terabytes of data from more than 50 enterprise systems through Kafka, REST, BigQuery, and GCS. You will also play a key role in advancing our hybrid cloud ecosystem and modernizing deployment pipelines across public cloud and on‑prem environments. This role gives you the opportunity to influence technical direction and shape the next generation of our data engineering capabilities on a global, mission‑critical platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent required
  • Deep hands‑on experience administering and optimizing Linux‑based production environments
  • Proven ability to implement automation across deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows
  • Strong engineering proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and related DevOps toolsets
  • Expertise working with cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including IAM, networking, compute, and storage

Responsibilities

  • Partner with external engineering teams and stakeholders to define the platform’s evolution and target architecture
  • Estimate, prioritize, negotiate, and plan infrastructure changes and enhancements
  • Design and implement automated processes for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows
  • Manage and automate infrastructure compliance activities related to information security
  • Re-engineer deployment solutions to align with the target state, ensuring alignment with SDLC standards
  • Collaborate with development teams to enable automated deployment, recovery, and observability
  • Partner closely with architecture, security, and product leaders to define engineering standards, influence long‑term platform direction, and drive adoption of modern DevOps and SRE practices
  • Lead cross‑functional efforts to modernize infrastructure through hybrid cloud enablement, containerization, and automated operations
  • Promote engineering excellence by guiding teams toward resilient architectures, automated CI/CD pipelines, enhanced observability, and improved system reliability
